Manolis Moumouzias’ recordings combine musicianship and audio engineering
science skills for a polished, beautiful result. His inspiration comes from many
sources, including great recording artists and engineers through the Pop, R
& B, and Funk of Prince, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Michael
Jackson, Hall & Oates. He also draws
inspiration from the post-concert tour Beatles and Beach Boys records – when
they broke ground with new sounds, new techniques unavailable in concert.
Moumouzias plays piano and keyboards, bass, guitar,
drums, ukulele, melodica and glockenspiel. This wide range of instrumentality
allows him to fully accomplish his genre-jumping albums which still seamlessly
come together as a whole.
As Manolis articulates, “I prefer the
Do-It-Yourself approach on making music and videos, ‘cause I want the listener and
viewer to get my point of view on everything.” He carefully crafts the music
and lyrics, performs his vision, shooting and directing his own videos and finally mixing and
mastering his own work.
Manolis' music videos have more than 500.000 views on YouTube and he is constantly striving to better connect
musically and lyrically with his growing audience.
